These beautiful silver coins honor the Year of the Snake, one of the twelve animals in the Chinese lunar calendar. Each animal is thought to influence the personality traits of people born in its year. If you were born in 2025, 2013, 2001, 1989, 1977, or any 12th year before that, you fall under the sign of the Snake, and are often described as ambitious, smart, independent, and charming.
There’s no cap on how many 1 kilo, 5 oz, 2 oz, and 1/2 oz coins will be made. The 1 kilo coin will stop being produced by the end of 2025, when The Perth Mint will announce the total number created. As for the 1 oz coins, up to 300,000 will be minted, and once they’re sold out or the series ends, production will stop. Because of its lower mintage, the 1 oz coin is expected to be in high demand and sell out quickly.
